Privacy Policy

Processing of personal and related data in TaroHint.

1. General provisions

This Policy is developed with due regard to personal data protection requirements and describes how user data are processed when using the TaroHint web service (the “Service”).

2. Key concepts

  • Personal data — information relating to a user, in particular email address and account data.
  • Processing — collection, storage, use, transfer, and other actions with data.
  • Operator — the party determining the purposes and scope of data processed within the Service (TaroHint Administration).

3. What data are processed

3.1. Registration and account

  • Email address — to create an account, sign in, and communicate with the user about the Service.
  • Password — stored in encrypted / hashed form; the Service does not store passwords in plain text.
  • Technical data (e.g. IP address, session identifier, browser type) may be processed to ensure security, stable operation, and protection against abuse.

3.2. Voice and audio

If you use speech recording features, the Service accesses the audio signal from your device (microphone). Audio may be converted to text and/or sent to external services (including for speech recognition and subsequent AI responses). Recordings may include personal information spoken aloud — you control the content.

3.3. Use of artificial intelligence

Query texts, spread context (including selected cards), interpretation results, and related data are processed to provide Service features. Some of this data is transmitted to AI model providers to the extent necessary to generate a response.

3.4. Payments

When paying for paid features, card details are generally processed by a payment provider; the Operator does not receive full card data if integration is structured that way.

4. Purposes of processing

  • registration and authentication;
  • providing spreads, interpretations, and voice input;
  • calling AI APIs to generate texts and related outputs;
  • ensuring security and preventing abuse;
  • fulfilling paid plans and subscriptions (where applicable);
  • contacting the user about the operation of the Service.

5. Legal bases

Processing is based on the user’s consent (registration, use of features), performance of a contract (provision of Service), and, where applicable, legitimate interests of the Operator (security, analytics in anonymized form).

6. Disclosure to third parties

Data may be transferred to infrastructure providers (hosting), AI and speech recognition providers — to the extent necessary to operate the Service. Such recipients process data under their own rules and privacy policies.

The Operator does not sell personal data. Disclosure to public authorities is possible on lawful grounds.

7. Safeguards

Organizational and technical measures are applied: secure channels (HTTPS), secure storage of credentials, restricted access to server resources.

8. Retention periods

Data are kept no longer than necessary for the purposes of processing, or until account deletion / withdrawal of consent — unless law requires otherwise (e.g. accounting for payments).

9. User rights

The User may:

  • request information about processing;
  • request rectification or deletion;
  • withdraw consent (some features may become unavailable);
  • lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

10. Account deletion and withdrawal of consent

Requests for account deletion or withdrawal of consent for personal data processing may be sent to the Administration through contacts listed on the website or in the Service interface. Processing ceases within timelines consistent with applicable law.

11. Minors

The Service is not intended for persons under 18. If you are under that age, do not use TaroHint without the involvement and consent of a legal guardian where required by law.

12. Changes to this Policy

The Policy may be updated. The current version is published on the Service website on the “Privacy Policy” page. Material changes are communicated to users through the interface or email where practicable.
